The past decade has seen increasing interaction between cognitive science and formal semantics and the emergence of the new field of experimental semantics. It feels like the ties between semantics and cognitive science are becoming stronger and stronger every year. To keep the students informed about this new development, we are now offering Semantics & Cognition class in the Master of Logic. The course is also open for students from the neighboring disciplines, including Linguistics and Cognitive Science.
Also, this year in January, we are teaching a follow-up class on experimental semantics. The idea is to give a hands-on introduction to online experiments such that students can later easily test their research ideas empirically.
